St Columba's Church is an evangelical Church of Scotland church, excited about Jesus and the difference He can make in our community.

Closing date 5pm, Friday 17th August 2018.

The 10 Must Know Bible Stories Project is an exciting project supporting our local schools with their RME (Religious and Moral Education) curriculum by providing resources, training staff and working in the classrooms. By exploring Bible Stories the children gain an understanding of Christianity. We link our resources across the curriculum modelling the relevance of faith to the children’s worlds. There are strong links to literacy, health and wellbeing and outdoor learning as well as other curricular areas. Our hope is to expand the reach of this project. We are looking to appoint a Schools’ Worker to help us deliver this project in our local schools. The focus will be on delivering RME lessons and in doing so model our resources to classroom teachers. There will be the opportunity to get involved in developing resources and also in delivering training.
